Nous cherchons à capter la beauté sereine et lumineuse de la musique chorale romantique française, en la laissant se déployer dans l’acoustique vaste et résonnante de la cathédrale de Troyes — un joyau gothique majestueux, célèbre pour la splendeur de ses vitraux. Le répertoire, tendre et évocateur, a été choisi pour dialoguer avec l’architecture et être sublimé par la résonance naturelle du lieu.

Filmée et enregistrée pendant les plus longs jours de l’année, alors que la lumière du matin s’aligne parfaitement avec l’autel, la cathédrale sera baignée de couleurs mouvantes — une rencontre saisissante entre le son et la lumière, captée à la fois en musique et en image.

Notre objectif est de créer un enregistrement à la fois éthéré et richement spatial, où les voix s’épanouissent naturellement, les cordes scintillent avec fluidité et chaleur, et où la cathédrale elle-même devient instrument, insufflant la vie à une musique d’une profonde sérénité.

We aim to capture the serene, luminous beauty of French Romantic choral music, allowing it to unfold within the vast acoustics of Troyes Cathedral — a majestic Gothic landmark celebrated for its radiant stained glass. The repertoire is tender and evocative, chosen to harmonise with the space and to be enriched by the cathedral’s natural resonance.

Filmed and recorded during the longest days of the year, when morning light rises in perfect alignment with the altar, the cathedral will be bathed in shifting bands of colour — offering a breathtaking interplay of sound and light, captured in both music and image.

Our goal is to produce a recording that is distinctly ethereal and spatially rich — where voices bloom organically, strings shimmer with fluid grace and warmth, and the cathedral itself becomes an instrument, breathing life into music of profound serenity.
