A professional choir and recording ensemble dedicated to the performance of sacred music in its fullest expressive and spiritual depth.

Spiritus brings together a select group of singers drawn from leading ensembles and institutions, including Westminster Abbey, St George’s Chapel Windsor, The Monteverdi Choir, Polyphony, Tenebrae, the Choir of St James’s Spanish Place, the Choir of Christ Cathedral (California), and others.

Rooted in the great tradition of the Church’s music, Spiritus seeks to present sacred works not as historical artifacts, but as living prayer -- music that breathes, speaks, and resonates within the spaces for which it was conceived. Performances take place in churches and cathedrals of architectural and acoustic significance, allowing the music to unfold in its natural environment.

Spiritus maintains a growing presence in the United States, with a base of activity centered around Saint Thomas More Chapel at Yale University, and in collaboration with Sacred Beauty, a Connecticut-based Catholic artistic and spiritual organization devoted to the renewal of beauty in the life of the Church. The ensemble operates under Inspired Harmony, Inc., a Connecticut-based nonprofit organization devoted to music and the arts, and is engaged in work across the Northeast and beyond.

The ensemble is available for live performances and special engagements, including concerts, liturgical celebrations, and collaborations with churches, institutions, and festivals across the United States.

Recent performances have taken place in London and France. Upcoming projects include a major collaboration at Christ Cathedral (Orange County, California) in November 2026 -- an immersive experience of music and light centered on the life of Saint Francis of Assisi -- as well as performances in New York in 2027.

Our inaugural recording, Sacred Splendour: French Romantic Masterworks, will be released at a public event at Yale University in fall 2026.
